I had the opportunity to present part of my thesis research—conducted as both a composer and researcher on the aesthetic implications of the loop in the context of experimental electronic music—at the 15th edition of the Visiones Sonoras Festival, held in Morelia, Mexico. Visiones Sonoras is an annual festival organized by the Mexican Center for Music and Sound Arts (CMMAS) and has been held since 2005.
In addition to participating in the festival and attending three days of concerts, I joined the research seminar of the Faculty of Music at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, led by Professor Jorge David García Castilla. During this time, we also had the opportunity to visit the studio of the Mexican Center for Music and Sound Arts (CMMAS), thanks to the invitation of its director, Rodrigo Sigal Sefchovich.
